the process behind
immortal beauty
Immortal Beauty was actually the entrance project I had to complete in order to be considered for acceptance at FIDM. I had exactly 1 week to write a mission statement and make a branded shopping bag, and a magazine ad; but, I took this project a little further. I crafted a crown of foam spikes for my improvised 'photoshoot' with a cell phone camera in our backyard. I did my makeup, put on wigs, styled my outfits with the crown of spikes I made, and a crown I had 3D printed a few years ago. Once I had content to create with, I was able to make magazine and billboard ads with my photos in them representing the bold, edgy look Immortal is all about. I used a Pilot Parallel Pen to draft my calligraphy for the logo. Once I rendered it in Adobe Illustrator, I used my Cricut machine to cut a while vinyl sticker of the logo to place on the black shopping bag. Then, I made a mockup of a coffin-shaped eyeshadow palette, as well as a mockup mailer box that would be used for online sales.
